I came across a cap and ball revolver that I'm trying to identify. It's a reproduction, a copy of the .36 cal. Colt 1860 Navy.
It has no manufacturer's name on it, or any other markings except the serial number and a couple of symbols that I can't remember on the frame.
Does anyone know who might have made it? It's missing the loading lever, so if I buy it, I'll need to know where to look for parts.
Thanks,
Rick

Thanks for the replies.I'll try to get a phone picture of the proof marks.
Is there a website showing black powder proof marks?

Try this one for Italian reproductions: http://www.powderhombre.com/mbpproofmarks.pdf

Includes proof marks, manufacturing stamps, and date codes. It's a little old since it only has the date codes up to 2003, but it's easy enough to extrapolate forward.
