CONEY I-LANDER CHILI RECIPE

the process is important.. DO NOT BROWN THE HAMBURGER FIRST

mash all ingredients including raw hamburger together and then start heating so you end up with a smoother sauce consistency.

fat is important, use 80/20 or 85/15 ground beef.

bring entire mixture to a boil, then turn heat down and simmer for an hour (or longer) until the correct consistency is reached.

you can do this in a Crock-Pot too, just put it on high and it takes 3 or 4 hours.

1 lb ground beef (80/20)

2 cups water

1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper

2 teaspoons dried onion flakes

1⁄2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon oregano

1 tablespoon paprika

2 teaspoons chili powder

2 teaspoons cumin

1⁄2 teaspoon ground cloves

1⁄2 teaspoon Saigon cinnamon

1 teaspoon salt
