Looking forward to the discussion - my personal short answer will require the chief to understand hand gestures & Greek, IOW eff-you & Molon Labe.
I'm sure he is exempting himself though of course...maybe he should focus on criminals who are breaking the law by having guns rather than middle class dads who have nothing to do with the gun violence problem by large.

Is it not _his_ job to get the crime under control in Tulsa? Why should law abiding citizens who aren't breaking the law give up their means the protect themselves so that criminals will be all the more armed and able to commit their crimes more brazenly? Maybe he needs to look inward and ask himself what he isn't doing to handle the problem before foolishly asks others to give up their constitutional rights for some bizarre reason.

Well, its true...not a lot of Tim the toolman Taylors out robbing and mobbing these days?
I don't know. I hear a lot of these characters described as "father of four, was going to start Community College this fall, getting his life together"

So maybe dad, scholar, life improvement enthusiast?
