Got a steel back door, wood frame around it is needing replaced. Brick house. Area around bottom is pretty disintegrated.

Too much for me to tackle, I would suggest that you have a complete new pre-hung door installed, will probably be cheaper than having someone replace the jamb and re-hang the existing door.

Agree with the whole new prehung door as best option. You can get exterior prehung doors with
a composite section at the bottom of the jamb as well as the sill. Should help avoid future rotting, a very
common problem for doors with lots of exposure to weather.
