Heard bird gobble one time while still on roost way, way east of me down the canyon. Never heard another gobble or ever saw a bird while glassing and calling the next couple hours.

What a brutal morning. Drove all over the lease before sun up trying to get a bird to gobble. It started raining as soon as I got to my spot. Walked 5 miles, finding one group of birds that snuck off, one lone hen and another group (probably the same one from earlier) busted me while walking. Never heard a single gobble. Between the rain and silent birds, I called it quits at 3pm.
We have some turkeys on OSA... maybe they're ratting ya'll out. 
We've got a duck dog trial here at the ranch in the morning. This weather is just right for those guys. Lol

No rain or anything going on here in N.C. Ok. at the moment. Just cold. Mist earlier.
