I think I've done a fairly decent job raising my kid NOT to treat animals that way, but damn. I'm not sure I'd be sitting in jail for beating my kids ass if he did that to an animal.

More along the lines of daily instead of every 2 weeks, with the time limit set at “until they straighten out”
