So, I was cleaning the parts off my Yugo M59 SKS the other day and, after putting it back together, I noticed that the metal cut for the bayonet doesn't line up with the wood cut. If looking at the little slit for it, the left side of metal end seems to lip over the wood and the bayonet seems to, for some reason, come down cleanly through the metal piece but chops up the same side wood and chip it if just popping it back into place.

Is this a normal thing with these relics? Where can I get it smoothed out? I have a bit of OCD in me and, now that I noticed it, it's bugging the crap out of me.

Fixed the problem by swapping the Yugo with a Russian. By the way, Sooner Guns and Gold is a marvelous shop. That may be my go-to gun shop now because everyone there is so awesome. (shameless advertising)
