tip #1; dont fear the slide lock reload. In other divisions, its almost a bad thing to let the gun go dry. In SS, its often necessary.
Likewise, dont be afraid to shoot only a few targets and then perform a reload, like if there are only two paper and then a good bit of movementto the next position. It might be a good idea to drop a mag with 4 or five rounds in it and start fresh with the next position/array. Be a deadeye on the steel; we dont have rounds to just throw downrange, and if you dont throw extra shots on a stage, its way easier to stick to the plan you chose.

As I break things down differently, my I suggest just to shoot to your strengths. Know your abilities and where the edge is for you. Take one step back from the edge and play all day. And if you practice play on the edge until you fall, then work to move the edge. later rdd
