Was really hoping to get some more out of this post....guess all ranges in OKC area cover most of our needs.

ALLOW rapid fire.
Reactive steel targets.
Designated area for prone shooting.
Gravel, or at least mud free path to target stands.
Wind socks for distances beyond 250 yards.
Separate standing area for pistols.

This covers most of it, plus a 1000 yard rife range maybe with 4wheelers to go look at targets, of course I would not complain about the gals either,and no ammo restrictions

I cant disagree with this. They are adding more stuff too for the shotgunners.

How about some protected/bunker enclosed CCTV cameras and TV's for long range shots so you wouldn't need a spotting scope or have to walk 500 yards to check your target?

because some jackhole will use the protected area for tv as a place to hang a target.

And if its like the banner range; they should provide eyes, ears, and level 2 body armor.

I really think Red Castle has done a pretty good job with our outdoor range.

My utopia range is my land. Quiet, peaceful, and nobody to bother me.

I know a place that is close. I go to Colorado for vacation every year in Chaffee County, near Keystone ski area. They have a pistol range, a rifle sighting range (25, 50, 75, 100 yard boards), a combat pistol range with the metal targets, and a 4-500 yard rifle range. It's free, you're just supposed to pick up your brass when your finished. It's co-managed by the county sheriff or wildlife dept and maybe a gun club.
