Called & left message & my number about my claim. The recording gave me the option to recieve a call back when someone was available. two days later I got the call on my cell when I was in Lowes. The VA Rep was very helpful and said my claim was approved. Shortly after, I went to the VA Hospital and got my ID card then whenever I've been back in Lowes they give me 10% off on purchases after showing the card.
VA is seriously backlogged right now. I filed a claim in July of 2011, got the physical in late March and had the claim approved Sept. 26. I have a buddy that's been waiting almost two years but they've sent his packet to the wrong office when he ETSed.
Its been a 6 year battle with them for me and they lost my med. Records and now they have only found about half of them. It would have been nice if the army kept me on the 5 years of 100% TDRL instead of the 15 months I got.
