When we first got our rescue cattle dog I spent a little time on the internet researching the breed and ran across the story of Sophie Tucker. An Australian Cattle Dog lost overboard by a family on a pleasure cruse. Dog swam 5 miles to an island and survived for 4 months on wild goats.
