I was reading a thread on another forum (1911 ???) where someone did that same thing trying to make it hang up less for CC. Not sure what removing a 1/4 inch of the hammer spur gets ya but...... there ya go LOL.

I'm looking for a hammer for a vintage model 60 someone had attempted to bob the hammer on it. Any help would be appreciated.
