I bought my Model 12 on a whim,,,
I wasn't really on the lookout for a new revolver.

But then I made the mistake of entering "The Evil Pawn Shop"!

Dave, "The Evil Pawn Shop Owner" knows I have a fondness for K-Frame Smiths,,,
So one day when I wandered in there just to do some browsing,,,
He said, "Hey Aarond, I've got something you can't pass up.

Curse him!

I didn't have a Model 10 in my case and wanted one for it's simplicity,,,
After he showed me the Model 12 I decided it was close enough.

I named her after Eleanor Roosevelt,,,
Who carried a 6-inch S&W of some ilk in her purse.

She said that if her guards were willing to put their lives on the line,,,
It was only proper that she learn to shoot as well,,,
And she learned under their tutelage.

I had a model 12 snubbie for awhile. Loved that little feller. The only bad thing about em is finding properly fitting stocks.

I bought a $100 pair of S&W factory Lew Horton combat stocks for it and they didn't fit. The grip area (frontstrap and backstrap) was more narrow than it's all steel K frame counterparts. So I had to settle for the factory Magnas and a Tyler...which wasn't that bad of an alternative. ;)
