Writing Tickets=Revenue plain and simple, they are not wrote for the purpose of slowing people down, making them more aware, etc. They are wrote to make money. Have you seen the prices on speeding tickets these days? They are ridiculous on how high they are, you have to feel sorry for someone who is just getting by and get hit with a ticket.

I have a few LEO friends who have told me that they give out fewer tickets since the fines were last raised. For some workers a traffic fine leaves a family with nothing left over to pay their bill and feed their family for the week.
