Serial number, all matching, see below, shows an early 1892 manufacture date. (if it is a cut down rifle)
It is just over a actual carbine length.
Here it is with a Engineer's carbine.

Including the bolt, which is bent.
Not sure what this stamp is.
Now check out the front barrel band.
Whoever did this, put everything back the way it should be. Including the cleaning rod.
Definitely looks to be cut.
The way it was done doesn't scream bubba to me. I really wonder what the history is.
