Also I really recommend a membership to either Eastman huntin fool or my favorite go hunt.com insider they compile all the states and break it down by unit all the states offer it online but these services put it in one place in an easier to use format. Worth every penny to have a resource that has it all in one place (magazine Eastman and huntin fool ) online gohunt insider I've let my eastmans go and am just paying the 150 a year for gohunt. I've definitely been considering Eastmans. Do you know the difference between bow hunter and the regular...besides the obvious?

NM is great and a lot better hunting than Colorado unless you draw a good limited entry tag into CO. I'd begin putting in for preference points in CO as soon as I could and plan on getting a good tag every 10 years or so if you are lucky. Wyoming is good too.

Just put in a preference point for Colorado elk . Lots of things to learn still
