Don't want to remove any finish.. Want to shine it up though- hasn't been fired in over 40 years. It is a 1968 6''. Beautiful, but has some very tiny bedroom drawer scratches. I gave it to my brother 35 years ago, he never shot it, but he kept it by the bed in the drawer. He was a well-known actor ... he passed away, and I inherited it back. I have heard the finish on these is thin, but hard- the marks aren't really scratches, just tiny swirl type marks. I would think a buffer and rouge, but I am not talented enough to attempt/risk that.
