Since no one really knows, What do you think will be the first caliber back on the shelves, price & quantity back to normal? And why?

I think 9mm. It's the most popular among new shooters next to 22LR. Once they get caught up and we stop stock pilling it, it will get back to normal. Hopefully they over produce it and it starts getting marked down to 7-8 bucks a box.

I will probably never stop stock pilling it though. This has been the worst shortage in my 40 years. I haven't suffered much, but I don't even want to see my shelves low like this again.

9 and 5.56 should be first back there normal. Followed by 22LR. I am hoping that these happens by summer, then we get the flood of hunting calibers for deer season.

I'm hoping for a quick recovery in .45acp and 9mm but I'm with Judi on this "don't bet on anything yet." If we do have a recovery it be because the economy has crashed and most people will be spending their $'s on food and rent instead of ammo.

At Sportsworld in Tulsa today. More ammo on the shelf than I have seen in the last 6 months. B-I-L was at the BA Bass Pro and bought 10 boxes assorted and his wife bought 800 bulk pack of Fed 22lr for me. pre-covid prices. Sportsworld told me 9mm and 380 made on same lines. Manufactures are hesitant to switch to 380 as they are selling all 9mm they can. may be a while b4 380 is back on the shelf.
