It seems a majority of the ranges do not allow you to draw and fire. How can you practice if you don't have private property outside the city limits? Are there any public ranges that allow you to draw and fire?

If all else fails, go to an action pistol match. OKCGC runs a monthly USPSA match. Most of the IDPA matches are in the Tulsa area. There used to be one in Hinton and they run one in Duke.

Hopefully someone will be along to give you a public range that allows it in your area.

Along with suggestions above, USSA offers day passes that you can use as well to practice on your own or take a class, their classes are great! Also don't forget dry fire and draw at home as well as airsoft draw and fire at home, though draw and live fire is still needed obviously , but dry fire and airsoft can supplement your other training.

Get a hunting license and go to a public hunting area. Many have a range to sight in guns with. It should be ok if there is an open hunting season. Just pick up your brass and trash when you leave. Check with the area manager first. Getting outside into nature is always a nice place to shoot. The wildlife dept web site will have maps of the areas.

You may have to join a private range.

I remember going to public ranges and hating the "no draw-fire, no more than one shot every 3 seconds" rules, but after seeing some of the mouthbreathers that wander into public ranges it is totally understandable why they have those rules.

In addition to the USPSA match Mr Togo mentioned, there are indoor ranges in OKC that run matches too.
