Bought in 1970 in a Tokyo PX.
Date is wrong, lol. I can’t see it anyway. Just noticed it with the pic. I’ll get it correct.
The Tachymeter is very correct.
Flew a lot back in the day. Some of the airplanes would have an indicator that showed air speed.
If we were traveling over an area like Oklahoma where everything is laid out in 1 mile squares, I could pick out a speck of dust on the window, start the Tachymeter, and stop it when the speck crossed the mile line.
Look up at the speed indicator and it matched very closely.

I just saw another vintage Seiko yesterday online when I was digging around. Made for race car drivers. The 12:00 marker and chrono buttons were rotated over to the 3:00 position (inline with the band) so they'd be up when your hands were on the steering wheel. I'd never seen such a thing.

Yeah, those are 'driving' watches. Pretty cool. There are a few makers who've done them in the past, not always a chronograph though.

I had been eyeballing those at Costco. Decided I was going to get one and they were all gone when I got there.

Possibly, it’s very comfortable and the watch doesn’t move around much. The Cooper is very lightweight though. Need to try it on a heavier one.

Well that response wasn't overly confidence inspiring.

Depending on how tightly you have the keeper adjusted, the watch head shouldn't move on your wrist. Regardless of whether it's a heavy or light watch. I had that big Nethuns Scuba 500 on one and it felt perfectly balanced on the wrist and didn’t move around a bit.

Such a good looking watch for the price tag. One of these days, I'm going to grab one of these in 36mm. They just seem to be OOS every time that I search for one. The Glycine that I need to purchase first is a 36mm Airman No 1.

Honestly? I was in my early 30’s before owning two firearms. Already had the watch in my possession.
My .410 killed everything I hunted until starting deer hunting in 1980.
Only needed one watch to see what time it was.
