I have one just like it I picked up in the Bronx for only five bucks more than the valveless job, $25 vs $30, the guy told it was for making the watch lighter, but what with the plastic back, I found it really didn't need it, and pretty much a whole five bucks down the tube. Glad to see someone else here with taste.

Back in my watchmaking days, my two favorites upon which to work were Rolex and Omega. They were and are a treat to the eyes. You see where the money went when you look inside. Classic American railroad watches were the only thing comparable.

That's an oldie but goodie, and I appreciate you folk having pity on me and my Seikos and posting not one, but two, Seikos back to back. You guys are real PALS. What was your crystal source?
Man, if you need pictures of Seikos, you just need to ask! I think we’ve got you covered.
