I've wanted a leather A-2 Bomber jacket since the 80s when I first saw Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Indy's jacket wasn't quite an A-2, but definitely had quite a few of the same characteristics. Wested Leather and Bill Kelso make pretty nice copies of it.

If you’re an Indy fan, you'll appreciate these boots that I just picked up today...

Speaking of movie jackets, this was the inspiration for a lot of A-2 owners' collections. McQueen in his Rough Wear 27752 from The Great Escape. That's a Speed King on his wrist BTW.

The watch I recall from childhood as the watch men wore, along with the field watches. The jacket seen only rarely and unzipped, as 15-20yrs passed since the war and waistlines grew, and knit cuffs generally coming apart...and rarely rarely saw any military clothing item worn outside of a parade.
This is my issues Jacket (well second one actually because it and the entire bag it was in went MIA on a return deployment) from late nineties. I don’t think this was as nice as the original.

Replacements are seldom as good as originals in military clothing, and suspect it must be a reg somewhere. But, that is yours and it is real. And poor me whose only DSCP tagged item is a black fleece self-electrocuting gortex liner envies you that jacket.

I am going to look into the Westen jacket due to its lack of wrist cuffs, but a quick look at their size specs appears the arms too short for me, I have wide sholders, good chest size, and still maintain a 32" waist, and longer arms, and fear by the time I got up to a size with sleeve correct length that the jacket would fit me as a horse blanket. And yes, I think McQueen's jacket was too short for his arms, too.

McQueen specifically requested the wardrobe department to give his wardrobe a really fitted look. He even had his surplus chinos altered to look more trim. A-2's are bad about the sleeves riding up anyway, but it looks like his jacket is at least one size too small. You'd see exactly how much too small it actually was if zipped up.

Apologies to everyone for getting off topic.

Well, I appreciate the leads, and thank you. I suspect McQueen was facing same thing as me, his jacket appears to have room enough to zip, but sleeves short, and larger jacket for adequate sleeves would have given him a horse blanket, too, which I cannot blame him for dodging. I note the Westen jacket design actually for Ford, the Hero jacket, deals with same issue and WOULD give me the sleeve length and designed to keep collar off neck where otherwise it quickly gets oily. My old jacket as well has overlong (and even curved) sleeves for chest size...the Hero and my own jacket made for activity rather than basically static with arms at side....in the Westen jacket you first linked I would have needed to go with a chest 4"-6" oversize to get sleeve down over wrist with arm by side so that with arms up or elbow bent or etc that sleeve not much above wrist. Now to talk to Westen about leaving off the tag as to movie use. I liked the movie very much, but am interested in the jacket simply for the jacket itself, collar, pocket style, bi-swing back with side tabs, adequate arm length available, and no knit cuffs...I don't need movie association to sell me on the jacket.

Another option is Five Star Leather. They are based out of Germany and have their jackets contracted out to a Pakistani maker. Check out their size chart and see if that works any better for you. They're semi-custom, so they can tweak the measurements, hide, etc for you upon request. I can get you the owner's contact info if needed.

While the cuffs do serve a purpose of keeping cold air out and warm air in the material leaves a lot to be desired. I much prefer no cuffs myself.
