Another classic today. But wait, where’s the crown? The Timex electric was only around for a few years. It still utilizes the mechanical balance staff. There’s not enough room for the battery, so it’s ‘external’.

I sure enjoy seeing these watches from childhood/kidhood...I well recall electro-mechanical, Accutron tuning forks, Astron quartz, Pulsar digital watches and clocks, while most of us stuck with mechanicals the same way we stuck with wind-up alarm clocks which worked when the power went out. And miss things labeled waterproof, even if we found out later that they weren't.
