I actually want to hunt geese now. They hang out on my front lawn. I usually run out to scare them off or honk my vehicles horns if I am driving buy. Goose poop is not a good fertilizer and hard to spray off the pavement. Unfortunately my subdivision is not zoned for goose hunting.

I lived in a little town overrun by squirrel, complaints were ignored unti they got into the new city hall building and did $30,000 worth of damage, and a guy came in with a suppressed Chipmunk rifle in broad daylight and wiped out hundreds in one day, the little rifle appeared at worst a BB-gun, one little old lady came across him and noted all the dead squirrel littering the ground and remarked it seemed a virus was taking care of the squirrel problem, and the guy replied that likely was the case. Your area might be due a bird flu outbreak any day now, a virus is a terrible thing.

Due to an "incident" of a frustrated neighbor shooting at a racoon 4 summers back, neighbors are on high alert for firearms. A frustrated neighbor shot at the 'lil bandit, missed and the .22 Bullet went through a homes picture window. The racoon still runs freely.

A couple of firecrackers dropped casually out at street, and a casual trail of lighter fluid left back to where you are out of sight of neighbors would likely run off geese.

Those are gonna be tough birds to get gone. Your yard and division are where they want to be. Probably a local generational hatch site. Being on your lawn is as bred into them as honking.
