Why not?
The 5mm MRF is such a popular round.
Though, it was / is a good round.
.17 MRF and the .17 RF are all but dead.

It mainly comes down to SELLING GUNS that fire the latest whizz bang.
Can't say there is a niche not covered in any caliber

Good luck to them, I'm not interested.
Better to put that money into quality control of the calibers you have.

If the heeled bullet is the problem, make .22WRF, tons of old Winchester rifles to fire it. DONE

Same as the later 1800s and Parker Bros shotguns selling 12ga to a finite market, and then selling same buyers a 16ga for "improvement in etc", then the 20ga, 28ga and .410 for "experts"....once you have sold everyone who would buy something an item which lasts nearly forever, your business is doomed unless you talk those same people into buying something else from you.
