A friend has a Winchester Model 12, 12 ga, 2 3/4", 28" full choke, field grade without vent rib. It was purchased new by his father in the 50's. Probably hasn't had 3 boxes of shells through it since new. The wood is quite good with normal wear marks but no dings or dents. The receiver has the blue worn some from carry and some light rust in a couple places. The barrel has some rust spots nearer the muzzle. The bore is bright and shiney. The action is very tight and seems to function as new. I don't know how to grade this piece.
Can anyone give me a fair market value to pass on to him?
THANKS!

No book here, but it sounds like it should be worth somewhere in the $400+ range. If he wants to sell it quick, tell him not to go below around $350. That will probably sell it instantly. CB
