My grandpa's single shot 22 rifle. It is well worn but I can make out all of the rolled characters even the itty bitty New Haven Conn. under the Winchester Repeating Arms

I have looked everywhere but inside the bore.

Any ideas?

Being a pre 67 Winchester single shot 22 its worth is about $75 I would expect. Applying an owner supplied number wouldn't reduce it in value any?

Mine doesn’t have one, none of them do. You can tell year ranges by features. Mine is 1934-35 because the stock has finger grooves. No model 67 have serial numbers as the stopped making them in 1963 before it became required.

^This is the correct answer.

I have six Model 67s, and one Model 68. I love them.
