I bought a Ranger 30-30 off a fellow member awhile back. It was in pretty rough shape, so I decided to restore it a bit.

If I was a better photographer I could capture the 'glass' look a little better...maybe when the new camera comes.

Wow, that looks great! Nice work. I'm curious if in the "before" pic, the wood had been stripped? I have a early 70's .44 mag (which btw is NOT a lemon, in fact, it's a super sweet shooting 94) and the wood looks way different, it has a different grain and darker stain.

Apparently I was sold a lemon by a fellow member...the rifle will not even feed. It'll need some parts to get back going.
thats why i love these things. its kinda like keeping a classic car on the road. you need to know how to work on them or know a good shadetree mechanic. parts are a dime a dozen and available from many sources. rifle looks awesome by the way!
