Wounded Warrior fund raiser Luther, OK Oct 17th

Thought I would let everyone know about this event coming up this weekend.

The Oklahoma Wounded Warrior 5K Run honors those who have been injured during service in the military. Held in Wild Horse Park in Luther, the day will include over fifty vendors, food, drinks, and of course, the 5K run. There will also be a fun walk for kids in a beautiful countryside setting just outside the city. Bring the entire family and run together or just enjoy everything else the event has to offer.

Hours are 8-5

Isn't Wounded Warrior Project the group that refused to allow church groups to do fundraisers for them because they thought it would be "endorsing" Christianity?

Their actual percent of donated funds is apparently pretty low, spend a lot on fund raising events, advertising, celebrity endorsements, and high salaries for executives.

I don't know if the Luther fundraiser is associated with the Wounded Warrior Project or not, just saw the info and decided to let everyone know about.

They should be careful then since WWP has been known to sue smaller charities into oblivion for using similar names or logos...

WWP also only raises funds to be used exclusively for the Afgan/Iraq war vets.
