I have always wanted a surefire light for (Bump in the night ) and also my AR. you can really see the difference.
So if you are in the market and are looking for a bright light Surefire is the way to go

+1 for the Surefire

My E2D is with me all the time, X300 on my AR, and G2 LED in the B.O.B. as backup for either.

You get what you pay for simple as that.

Surefire's are nice, but the cost/lumen just doesn't make sense for me to own any more of them. Surefire used to be the only game in town, now they've been passed up (somewhat) by other brands. They've been playing catch-up the last several years. Nice lights, though. Just not worth the $, IMO.
