For the people asking, no I don’t plan to use an actual antique firearm. Cowboy action rules are that a guns model needs to be designed before 1900 hence the popularity of 1873 or 1892 models.
Fortunately/unfortunately I just bought another gun so budget might be small right this minute for another round of guns. Feel free to message me info if you have one you’d be interested in selling and we can stay in touch.
