I'll tell you why we lost:

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.” -- Alexis de Tocqueville

“Once the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the Republic.” -- Benjamin Franklin

"The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money" -- Margaret Thatcher

That my friends is why we lost and will continue to lose until we collapse...

Because you admire plaigerism?

Several OSAers have explained how to win or at least modify they're stance on several issues. Anyone of which could tilt the balance of power.

Now look at the threads, secession(sp), Petitions, ect. Even a good answer wont work. Let them wallow in they're own bitterness and sulk for awhile, maybe they'll figger it out by themselves.

Color me pessimistic. :(

Nope! Try again! :(

LOL...isn't plagiarism stealing someone else's quote and then taking credit for it yourself? I didn't do that and I will take it you are an 0bama voter from your tone? What's next calling me a racist or a poo poo head?
Not at all. I should have mentioned misattribution too, but it would have made the sentence too long.
It isn't you that's doing it. You're just the one passing it along. No offense intended. I just thought it was funny is all.

ahhh I take it there may be some dispute over who ORIGINALLY said one of those quotes...if so pray tell...I just grabbed them to illustrate a point and no matter who said it, I think they all have merit.

Because you admire plaigerism?

pla·gia·rism/ˈplājəˌrizəm/
Noun:
The practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own.
**********************************************************************
What he did is called a series of quotes. Nothing is wrong with that.

I wasn't accusing him of doing anything but passing things a long and its none of my business in the first place. It's just an old argument on the internet. Did de Tocqville steal anything from Franklin that neither of them wrote in the first place?
