So while out and about with my brother in law yesterday we came across this

[Broken External Image]

It came without the bipod, scope, or ammo pack. I added those off of my old 308. But I got it out the door for $420 cash. I have shot my brothers savage 308 thats the same but his is a 24'' and mine is a 26''. Since I had experience with it I thought about it over night and went in at 9am and got it. All in all I have $550 in everything on her!

our guns together mine is the top one

Now I have done a little digging and found its a Savage 10FP LE2 in .308 winchester. Plan on getting her out with some factory 150gr to sight in and some hand loads too. Got to find out what she likes :rubhands: Deer beware your going DOWN!!:selfangel

Be careful with B&C stocks. I put one on my Savage 10FP and had nothing but issues with it. The barrel channel was not even and contacted one side of the barrel, and the flat underside where you mount the bipod to was not level which made the rifle cant when using the bipod.

I sent it back and got a Choate stock instead.

I've never played with the new Choate Tactical, but my 700 had the old Ultimate Varmint Choate stock on it. It was worth every penny of the $235 I paid to upgrade to the B&C A2. It felt like it weighed 1/2 what the Choate did, and it balanced better, and felt recoil was far less than with the Choate. I'd consider one if it was like $100, maybe even at $150 if the new Tactical style felt a LOT better, but certainly not at $220.

Looking here, it looks a whole lot better finished, but I'd still want to actually shoot a rifle with one installed before plunking down the cash on a Choate.
