Has anybody heard of anyone catching something other than pigs in one of these traps - specifically, will a calf enter one of these?
I don't doubt that it could happen. Personally, it has never happened to me. There are cattle in most places I trap, but I've never had a problem with them gettin in the traps. However, sometimes they looooove to rub on them and will trip the trigger depending on the mechanism.

You ever ran them threw a pig sale we have one pretty close over in rose oklahoma they are a lot of china people down there that buy them. Looks like you could make some pretty good cash.

Ive caught deer in box traps. Thats why I never build them with a top on them. I have also caught cattle, and my neighbors once caught a Red Stag that had gotten out of a high fence ranch. I have never sold any. Just getting them off of the farm.
Sure hope you're putting some of those in some freezers.
From What I've seen, you can use them for hog bait. The Bastardo's will eat their own.
I left a possum laying under the feeder last week. I fully expect it to be gone when I go out there tomorrow afternoon.
