So much for the idea of animals predicting one of these things, my lab didn't wake up before, during or after:)

My parrots and dog reacted as the shake was happening but not before. They were all shook up for a few minutes after. Tha parrots especially. The water in my fish tank didn't move though.

This is being reported:

The quake’s waveform and moment solution data suggests a mainshock on a thrust fault. This would be fault that makes the land around it move up, the other side down. Unlike a strike-slip fault, (side to side land movement around the fault) thrust faults give the most damage. It is likely a blind thrust fault. The are around I-44 and I-40 east of Oklahoma City has rolling hills, which were developed by thrust faults. The quake was a record breaking, smash the 5.0-magnitude 1882 Oklahoma Earthquake”.

Here in Claremore it knocked some books off my bookshelf! This is getting like California!!

Are you kidding or what? These little earthquakes are much more then a fart after a mexican dinner. Wait until you've experienced a 7.0 plus. I've rather enjoyed these last two quakes today.

I'd take an earthquake over an EF-5 tornado any day or night of the week.....
