I was offered this "opportunity" many many years ago. The fella I dated who was from Pakistan gave me a gift-wrapped box and asked me to marry him. In the box was a burqa and a one way plane ticket.

No thank you.

He did return to the states in 1999 with his wife. (Marriage was arranged by his parents. He found out about her when he landed in Pakistan. Wouldn't THAT have been awkward??) He contacted me as he "needed a mistress" ... lol ...

Still no thank you.

Man was GC pissed ... I thought it was rather funny ... and I have to admit, I was a little bit flattered ... ;)

Like some others here I'm not a big fan of organized religion of any kind.

I would like to give you this rare opportunity to worship me. I believe my religion is superior to all the others and let me explain how: the top tier plan is the express elevator to heaven. With this plan you get all the bells and whistles. 72 virgins of your choice (while supplies last), streets paved with gold, all glory all the time, at one with nature etc. Basically what the other religions offer is available in a one stop shop.
The top tier plan is a mere 2000 dollars a month and is guaranteed to get you into Haze's heaven. What other religion offers you a lifetime guarantee? Slots are filling up fast so reserve one while you can. The phone lines are open.

WOW!! The only thing I got offered was the chance to not speak unless spoken too (except by the servants ... of course ... ) and to never have to travel unescorted again ...

I have a buddy who last time the Jehovas came to his house, the conversation went like this:

Buddy: So uh, you're Jehovas huh?
Jehovas: Yes sir, we'd like talk to you if you have a few moments.
Buddy: Don't y'all believe that exactly 144,000 people get into heaven?
Jehovas: Yes sir, that is what it says in Revelation 14:1–5
Buddy: And just how many members do y'all have?
Jehovas: We are proud to say that over 18 million participated in our last annual memorial service!
Buddy: Hmm. Sounds like you're all full up. <door slams>

They haven't showed up to my place in a couple years. They would show up pretty regular and i wouldn't answer the door, one day i had enough so when they came to the door they asked me if I believed in god and all that and when i told them yes they asked me what religion i was and when i told them i grew up catholic they immediately took off like i was elephant man. They actually picked their kids up and ran to their vehicle. I yelled out to them that there was no need to do that I'm not a catholic priest just a catholic. I don't really attend church much lately and when i do its a non denomination church. I do believe in not trying to tell people their religion is wrong or try and guilt them into converting. People have the right to believe what they want and it is not up to us to judge.

The religion of purplehaze is definitely the best deal going. It offers what the other religions do at a bargain price that comes with a lifetime gurantee.
