there is 1 ATM
there are no stop lights
no city cops
everybody knows everybody and their business

Turn left at THE stoplight and the senior citizen building will be on your right.

You know where the car in front of you is heading to or coming from.
You know where the car in front of you is going to turn, so you slow down...they don't need to use their tail lights.
Locals parking their car on main street leave the keys in the ignition.
You know who is going to be at the coffee shop and you know what the topic of discussion is going to be for the coffee drinkers before you arrive for your coffee and donuts.
You know what happend in the county before its printed in the county paper.
When a local is talking about another local or a local's farm and they don't mention their name but you know who they're talking about.
You know what brand of chewing tobacco or cigarettes the old timers are smoking or chewing.
At least thats the way it was when i was growing up.

NC Ok has a few of those. LOL!
The Policeman is a school teacher, the car salesman sells guns, there are no stop lights, there are 4 feedstores, the auto salvage guy is the bus driver as well as 4 other teachers. The policeman/teacher takes over for the salvage/police/bus driver at 3:30. Oh and several HS seniors make up the bulk of the fire dept.
One more...you know who is related to whom and you are related to about 1/3 of the town.
