I'm in the same boat. I started a career change 2 years ago when I decided to finally pursue my childhood dream of being a professional pilot. I've been working just-above-minimum wage-jobs ever since, just so I can fit my flight training into my schedule (traditional 8-5 jobs don't leave a lot of time for flying). I've also passed up a lot of decent opportunities in the past 2 years so I could finish this out. It's stressful, knowing I've put my wife through 2 years of extremely tight finances and the fact that if I don't get hired as a pilot, it was a lot of money, time, and opportunity cost wasted. Unfortunately, airlines now require 1,500 hours of flight time, and I only have around 240, so I still have years of flight instructing for low wages ahead just to get the requisite experience.

Changing careers is not easy, but if you have a supportive family, it can be done.

State or Government employee.

i did 14 months as a state employee, had to leave before i choked some of those no working lazy asses. it amazed me the state employees that had never worked in the private sector that thought they were really bustin ass cause they did 4 hours work in an 8 hour day.

they called me into the office 3rd week on the job and told me to slow down.the hr director literally said this is not a business ,we aren't trying to make a profit and you are causing some others in the department to have anxiety

Try working at Tinker. We need someone here that just goes around choking lazy people. It would probably require 10 hour days working 7 days a week.

i always wanted to try a job with normal hours, i often see people with 8-5 seemingly good jobs and i can tell by looking at them they are dumber than me

It's tax season. Go get a job at Liberty Tax Service and dress up like the Statue of Liberty and stand out on the corner. They put green paint on your face so your ugliness can be hidden for the most part!!! hahaha....
