My fantasies never involve armed revolution, unarmed revolution, or even plain old politics. Mostly hot ladies in skimpy clothes. :D

Some of my nightmares on the other hand do involve armed revolution not only because I am to old and out of shape to deal with one, but also because I have people I care about that could be hurt.

I'm old and out of shape too.

We find ourselves in the same boat. Let's row together.

What they dont put is most of hte ones who dont see it are part of the liberal base ( filthy rich mostly liberals or dirt poor people who dont contribute of all groups)

I think a true number is closer to 35 or 40 and Obama and his kind have not pushed their way into every state yet. When places like OK get like CO there will be hell to pay.

I can understand the frustration but this would not end well.....

Simply put, I believe one of three things will happen.
Armed uprising not being one of them.

#1. There will be a real awakening, backlash and condemnation against the progressive agenda (of both sides) and corrupt politics (of both sides) and the country will eventually VOTE its way back to a more constitutional, limited government. With a new breed of leadership.
Long hard road back to the founders vision.

#2 we keep on the current path with progressives buying an ever larger voter base of entitlement bots. Thus keeping power and eventually causing an unavoidable and purposeful economic collapse and a chance for one great "leader" to come to power with "a solution" and rebuild the country in their vision. Fall of the republic.

#3 we keep on the current path with progressives buying an ever larger voter base of entitlement bots. Thus keeping power and causing an unavoidable and purposeful economic collapse and a chance for a group of great leaders to come to power with "a solution" that has been tried before but we strayed away from it and rebuild the country in that vision. Rebirth of the republic.

So what will it be? I'm hoping #1. That's the "fight" I'm hoping for. Politics has always been cyclical in our country but I don't think we've ever seen the crazy mess we're seeing now. I have faith we can hang in there and turn it around with our vote. Common sense usually prevails even if there's forces fighting against it. Just gonna take time.

Simply put, the world is a different place than it was in the late 1700s, and I think things would go vastly different if we played host to a major rebellion here in the US now.

Tell that to the folks in rice paper hats from the 50's to 1973, and the folks in Iraq, and the folks in Afganistan.

They have all held their own long enough to change history.

Nice comparison, but no cigar. Those folks are highly motivated and have support from many elements of the general population.

Do you really think groups of mostly out of shape (usually obese) middle-aged men will be able to handle trained troops, no matter what tricked-out AR-15 they own and no matter what training they had in the 70s? If you do, I'd like you to cash a check drawn on a Nigerian bank.

Do you really think that our self-absorbed, weak-willed, comfort seeking populace won't sell out every self-styled patriot for a flat screen TV or cash to blow at the nearest casino?
