I get so tired of hearing this retarded phrase. WTH does NATURAL RIGHT mean anyway? Maybe all the Open Carry jackwagons should respect the Natural Right of property owners to control what goes on or into their property, eh? I think property owners rights trump the rights of wannabe cop gunslingers everyday.

Open Carry where NATURE intended, out in NATURE where the wild animals roam. If you're so afraid of your shadow that you gotta Open Carry when you go to get your tripple mocha carmel latte then maybe you SHOULDN'T. All I've seen of 98.9% of the people open carrying is little men with a little pecker syndrome.

Just cause you openly strap on a big gun and flaunt it around doesn't mean you have the big cojones to go with it.

Oh? Did I torque someones noodle? As you already know I don't really care. America, ain't it grand???

Just remember, if you keep picking on little men and examining their junk, you're gonna get slapped with a registered sex offender label. Those don't wash off. Might be best to stop torquing on anyone's noodle but your own. ;)

Wow... interesting post to learn a little more about you. Thanks for the lesson. Hopefully I'll remember it.

This is why I find the "let's meet up at Starbucks and make sure people who don't want to see our guns see them in large numbers" idea so ironic when paired with the "Walmart sucks" opinion of many of the same people.

There are people who open carry responsibly, and then there are those who take on a holier-than-thou attitude and carry openly "because we need to educate the public that good guys carry guns".

So anyone who open carries with the hope of combating the "only bad people have guns" notion is "holier-than-thou"? You can't open carry responsibly if you are hoping to help change the force-fed propaganda of the state? I'm not sure how this works... edumacate me, please.

I open carry sometimes in public. It is MUCH more comfortable. And convenient. And also works against the propaganda. So... how do I know if I'm doing it responsibly (by your standards or any other), or if my pecker is too short to allow me to open carry without it being for the wrong reasons? Do your cojones have to be a certain diameter to be considered a responsible open carrier, or is there a measuring scale of some kind that determines who is eligible to be "responsible" and who is not qualified and is only "holier-than-thou"? Is it based on testicular weight, overall diameter of the testicle, circumference, the whole sack, or the organ length or what?

I'm just trying to make sure I don't fall into the wrong category when I go about my daily business of... well... most anything... but happen to be open carrying at the same time. If I don't measure up, then I guess I need to cover it up, right? Please let me know who I need to send my certified measurements and registered check to in order to obtain my "responsible open carry" permit instead of the lesser accepted "holier-than-thou" open carry permit.

Thanks.

I just wish that open carry (or carrying for that matter) was NOT perceived as a political statement. Somehow "gun-people" are considered second-rate citizens.

Do I have to feel like Rosa Parks every time I walk into a restaurant?

That's not what I said.

There are people (including some on this board) who say that the only reason they open carry is "because people need to see it". I won't call them out, but they include the same people who post elsewhere on the Internet claiming that OSA is against open carry, both as a forum and as an organization. They also have made comments that you're not a 2A supporter (or if you are, you're a lesser supporter than them) if you still carry concealed. They seem to get off on carrying openly. They also seem to assume that if a business or organization doesn't prohibit or speak out against open carry that they must support it.

I could care less how or where someone carries. I personally carry open part of the time, even at church or banks. I never carry IWB anymore. If I'm "concealed", I'm probably printing like Gutenberg if someone were to actually pay attention.

Maybe this would be easier to discuss in person where tones and other cues come across better. Perhaps over Scotch and cigars?

We were born naked. Why can't we still be naked in public places? It's much more comfortable. Why???? This is the whole argument of the Open Carry crowd. I guess as society got more civilized or developed moral values it was decided that we didn't need to see certain things displayed in public. No one is saying you can't still carry your pistol and protect yourself. They are simply asking you to keep it covered up. Just like your privates.

I still say if you wanna be a cop apply for the job.

Some people like to politicize it. They think it's their duty to even divide 2A supporters. I met up with one of those that I described above and was promptly lectured for having my shirt over my firearm even though it was in an OWB holster. Apparently, I'm a "fair weather.supporter" in their eyes.

This is how I've been carrying a lot lately. It offers maximum comfort while still retaining concealability.

no one is saying you shouldn't own guns, you just shouldn't be able to own weapons of war.

You don't need 30 rounds, get yourself a double barrel shotgun, and fire two shots up in the air!

What part of "shall not be infringed" don't you understand?

Vermont has no prohibition on public nudity, just like they don't have any restrictions on the carry of firearms. I've been there, and let me tell you, the whole state is a bastion of uncivilized and immoral misanthropes. Not. Life goes on there much as it does everywhere else... only with a little more liberty. And cheese.

Since when does the definition of "civilized" include threatening force and violence against people who aren't threatening anyone else? I consider it to be just about the opposite.
