I am sorry if there are other threads such as this one. I live in Norman and have only been to H&H in OKC, and GunWorld. H&H was decent priced but GunWorld was absolutely flying a kite. They remind me of the movie "The Mask" the auto mechanics just making up prices? However I pass by a sign off I35 Sgts shooting range in Norman. Is that place any good?

Gonna be in OKC area sometime in the next several days and gonna have time to burn.
Any updates to OKC AREA gun shops. I'd like to hit the Sooner State Pawn and any other worthy suggestions.
Does Cold Hand Arms have an open door gunshop?
Any FGST breakfasts coming up?

ya, no chit. get your "bend-over" on without any lube. I just hate seeing those military guys in there thinking they are getting great deals. Dude thought $600 was a great deal for a stock M&P 15-20 during the evil black rifle drought. Oh, wait the guy behind the counter would give give him a discount on the CCI .22lr 100rd for $24....down from $36.

I shoot at heartland in Edmond. I've bought or browsed from all places mentioned here. You can't discount WM or Academy (obviously not solely a gun shop), but they do have some deals, but I like to support the local guys.

Gun World does have a nice range. Just... ya know... bring your ammo with you. and your targets.

And you may want to add a layer to your skin. I thought I was pretty thick skinned, but these folks manage to get under it on most visits.

Since one of my sons works nearby, I am near there fairly often. He won't go there at all, but I do about every six months, usually swearing to never do it again. Sort of like picking at a scab.

Young military personnel often like to appear knowledgable about guns when they really don't know a lot. This charactistic enables Gun World to take advantage of lots of TAFB personnel. Of course buyers should beware, but really . . .

No mention of Mark's Firearms (Nighthawk on OSA) in Moore? I'm going to get down there one day and buy a gun from him. I met him at a gun show and he helped me out with a rifle problem I was having; a rifle that I had bought from someone else. (I had brought it to the show to dispose of it and decided to keep it.)
I haven't forgotten how helpful he was.
