If you have an issue with a mod, take it to PM. If that doesn't resolve it, PM me.
If you get banned, take it like a man, and don't lash out like a 13 year old.
It's much easier to resolve misunderstandings, if you are polite.

Other than that, have fun.

Apparently too far with one mod is something different with another though. So why no open forum?

The problem is some of those are subjective. One mod/person may think something is too far or someone is being a dick while to others its no big deal.

The other problem is its not uniform. Lurker gets the shaft while other members are being just as dickish and get nothing. If YG or whoever is going to come in and start doling out bans and crap atleast make it even and fair across the board.

Well, you certainly don't have to stick around.

You guys are priceless. First, the rules are too strict, then we lighten them up. When we expect a modicum of some lesser decorum, we are bad guys. What do you want? Total friggin anarchy?

Anarchy rocks. Actually, if we had thicker skinned mods that didn't have sticks up their asses the forum would be a bit more pleasant. I'm not suggesting that we have no rules, but we are adults and if a mod talks down to a member the member shouldn't be banned for telling the mod to go pleasure his/herself.

Some apparently know exactly where the edge of the envelope is and some don't. So, SlugSlinger started a thread to 'boast' (my words) about Lurker66 being banned by saying "good riddance" (his words this time). He (SS) violated 3 out of the top 4 rules, depending on what point of view you take with it. Then to take it further, he posts a Simpsons vid laughing about it? Seems like being a (#1) dick and (#2) carrying things too far and (#4) being nasty. Maybe the 3rd time is a charm for being put into timeout. I mean...damn.

and then Lurker got busted by violating most of the rules above on post #31. so I get it. a private area on OSA and this thread would never have been this heated/created.

I don't have a dog in the fight, but damn, damn.

I'd really like to say YES! But been there and done that on another forum. It's fun for a while but chaos gets old.

Wait!? You loosened the rules? When did this happen? If I missed the memo I'll apologize.

Obviously, we can't criticize mods now, but what can we discuss that we couldn't before?

Can I still not post these out of state police brutality and corruption articles I've been compiling?
