Boxing fans rejoice! It looks like the long-awaited Pacquiao-Mayweather fight is going to happen. Both of these guys can fight, no doubt about that. And the predictions are for a huge payday win or lose. So; who do you think will bring home the win and the bigger paycheck? I'm going to predict that my man Floyd will not only beat Pacquiao up, but also knock him out, keeping his streak alive. That's right sports fans, I say Mayweather is gonna KNOCK HIM OUT. (You heard it here first).

With the awesomeness that is MMA, I can't believe that anyone cares about boxing.

Especially with the corruption within it and the POS boxers that participate.

MONEY. There is still a lot of money to be made in boxing, and its not going any where any time soon, PPV numbers have been huge not to mention large HBO and Showtime deals. Not so much in MMA, yet, but it is getting better and will get better Im hoping. I support both sports by attending fights and buying PPVs, etc. Im an ex boxer (guess I never reached that 'POS' level or whatever that is...) and kickboxer with a son about to start boxing comps and while I love both sports more than anything in the world and know more than a little about both, I will always prefer boxing.

Not a done deal yet, but theyre close. Thats why I hadnt started a thread yet so as not to anticipate something that may fall thru again.

I know there's money in it - I just think its a corrupt 'sport' and can't believe people watch it or care about it....but I feel the same about Professional 'Wrastling'.

I really appreciate REAL boxing (Amateur and Olympic) and REAL Wrestling (all disciplines) but the 'Professional' stuff baffles me in its appeal.

I also think the corrupt 'players' aka Boxers are mostly POS Thugs (with some exceptions), so unless you were some sort of professional boxer then no, you didn't reach POS Status.

I think it will be one of the most watched fights of all time, mostly because everyone wants Pacquiao to shut Mayweather up. While I hope that happens, I have my doubts.

You know I know how true what youre saying is. It has always been corrupt, and always will be. I guess as a super fan ever since I was a little kid and then as a participant (yes, I guess I was one of those POS thugs...) and then as a fan again afterwards I just didnt and dont care, I want my boxing fix and Im going to get it. I live and breathe boxing and martial arts still even at 45 years old. My son went thru the ranks in martial arts same as I did along with wrestling as its a family thing in my family and then we started working on the boxing 2 years ago. I am hoping he makes it farther than I did. He loves MMA and we're looking at those options as well if the boxing doesnt work out. He is going to California after HS graduation in May to work with a better coach and see what his options are.

It will break records for PPV for sure. I just want them to finally freaking get it the F over with and go on and it be done so Pac and or Floyd can both retire. There are a lot better fighters and fights coming up in the future (GGG vs Ward? Unifying belts, especially heavyweight, etc). And not every one is in Pacquiao's corner. I personally love the guy and what he has done is un real- 8 belts in 8 weights- and I dig Freddie; but I also have dug Floyd, his uncle and his dad over the years. One thing is for sure, Mayweather is no GOAT- and never will be IMO.
