plenty of people addicted to alcohol too...it aint good but prohibition proved making it illegal was the wrong way to deal with it. Your bro will be addicted whether it is legal or not...should he be thrown in jail/prison for it? No. But let him get caught buying it enough times and that's where he will be. Society will continue to view pot heads...or those who smoke "in excess" negatively just as those who drink in excess now.

A free American should be allowed (legally) to decide if they want to smoke or not...just like with drinking alcohol.

Are you serious right now? Its easier to buy than a 16 yo buying cigs. People dont get caught buying pot, They get caught in posesion after a traffic stop or the like because they are too stoopid to keep it at home.

Are you serious right now? My brother in law got busted immediately after purchasing from his usual guy, right outside of the guys house. It does happen...but I was in no way trying to say that buying it is how his bro is going down...I was more just saying getting busted enough times and he's f*cked...and him going to jail will help nothing. Also, I do agree that being pulled over with it in the car is the most likely scenario of getting caught so no need to argue your point any further.

They started out on marijuana and figured it be nice to have harder stuff and tried it and finally got either their parents or their insurance policy to fund their stay in a detox facility hence, counsellor because they know that drugs really do harm a person and their ancillary victims-their families. It's not good, it's very expensive and ruins relationships.
So if someone doesn't want to go far in life and end up in their late forties with nothing but a history of divorces, broken relationships with parent/s and have nothing of material worth, use drugs. I know.

The problem isn't marijuana...its the person you described.

People should be able to choose whether it fits into their lifestyle or not without breaking the law.

Nicotine is a drug. How many people are dead each year from effects of smoking? It's their choice though, legally, as it should be.
