What makes you think so? I was a mall cop once, though....
Were you a "foot guard" or were you Segway qualified as well?

If so, that is sad...but again I've been away for far too long to form an opinion. How true! OSA has become the MODS forum. It's not about enforcement of rules, it's about shoving their opinions down members pie holes. It is sad and pathetic.
Having retired my position as super mod-in-chief long ago, I don't have much say in the way things are run here anymore.
Frankly I haven't even visited in a long, long time.....the last time I visited, JB had taken over OSA feom Kelly.
I only realized in the last few days that he was no longer the proprietor.
I'll offer my opinion of the classifieds issue anyway....
I personally believe it is NOT a good thing to allow wide open classified sections for several reasons.
Aside from the fact you get bots selling Viagra, you wind up with an inherently less secure market in regards to both buyer and seller confidence.....and many random sellers who may or may not be reputable, continually bumping items or what seems tantamount to spam postings. It just happens.
The way I ran it was based on years of buying/selling on forums and having experienced the frustration and shortcoming therein.
With things like these you have to have an admin who agrees as well as plenty of people on the same page who are available to manage the issues.
Obviously I have been way out of touch with the board so I cant say all too much about the "community" as such.
I'd have to spend a little more time here to get a sense of that.
I have no knowledge of any of the"upheaval" events, ect....I'm barely even touching the tip of the iceberg in getting caught up with contacting my estranged friends here, lol.
I mean, I don't wanna tell someone how to run their forum unless they ask, but I think there ARE things as I've mentioned above that are just generally conducive to keeping a good classifieds section which is preferred by members.
Advertising and things of that nature may very well be a necessary evil, dunno....but sponsors, ads, etc. can be a real chore at times.
I was a member of Quail Springs One, a three man rapid reaction force of which I was Sergeant Major in Charge of Heavy Weapons. Were you a "foot guard" or were you Segway qualified as well?

Did you have a Fast Action Response Team?

Indeed, I did (have you and I met?). While I was not a Green Beret (well, neither were you), I did have to face unruly shoppers nearly every day. It helped being a Master of three martial arts, including Ninjitsu, which means that I got to wear the special boots for climbing walls (with apologies to Gecko45, where ever he be).Did you have a Fast Action Response Team?
