Drunk Driving or Texting!

Serious (kind of) question for OKC LEO's or anyone else really: is the number of drunk drivers or texters increasing in this city? I've never seen more slow driving swervers in my life. (At least one or two a day.)

Often I'll see somebody on their phone, or I'll see someone looking straight ahead with 10 & 2 all while swerving. (You're not fooling anyone with your drivers ed pose.)

I know I'm not the only one here. Anyone know how many tickets they issue for texting vs DUI?

Like if they kill someone while driving that way, they should face first degree murder charges and be given death.

I think they would for sure get manslaughter or second degree. First degree means premeditated.

I hate getting behind people that drive 5 to 10 mile under the speed limit so you pass them and then when they are done texting fly past you and give you the mean eye cause your only driving five over the speed limit

Fair point, I suppose. Premeditated usually means yin had a specific plan and target in mind and consciously had the intention to kill that specific person. I don't think a judge would ever allow a charge like that in this situation.
