I'm just not a fan of "pretty" guns.
I like guns that have been abused.

Agreed. He and I were talking about that too. I really like the look, but painting your gun to make it look like it's heavily used is more than a little poser-ish. Like full on "Tactical Timmy" poser.
I can't really explain why I like the barrel, but I do. The full treatment is tacky, but the barrel as an accent is fun to me. Not for a serious gun, but for a range toy fun gun, I could see doing something like that.
