Just finished Lonesome Dove for the first time.

Watched this the last 4 nights with my wife and son.

Pretty good, I liked it. I know lots of you fellas 'round here think it's the best thing since sliced bread, so I thought I'd share.

It was probably the best series ever aired at the time it aired. The book is even better but the series was pretty close to the book as I recall. I remember seeing a blurb on it's filming. It took a lot of work to make sure they didn't get any contrails, electrical poles, etc. in the shots.

My wife and I watched it some 30-35 years ago. Good show for sure. I’m still partial to justified.
