OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. George Burns, R-Pollard, has filed Senate Bill 124, a measure designed to exempt Oklahoma-made firearm suppressors and their basic materials from federal laws and regulations.

Have not looked into similar bill that passed in Texas to compare why their's tanked, but hopefully this will get the ball rolling to demolish the NFA nonsense.

I'm as opposed to this unconstitutional tax as anyone, but the paperwork isn't that difficult and it's easier now than it's ever been to get fingerprinting and passport photos done.

It's not just "paperwork", but signing off on letting drop a lot of rights protecting against search and seizure, as well as free transit and disposal of personally owned property. This why I have never messed with one.

I'm all for this and hope it flies. I can say my suppressor makes shooting far more enjoyable. My daughter refuses to shoot anything without it. I did my Form-4 during Covid, and it took 14 months. I finally did it and paid my $200 when I thought to myself man, I'd have had one years ago if I stopped using that as my reason. I can say I'd have more if it wasn't such a pain.

What about a repeal of the FOPA of 86, specifically the Hughes amendment
