Sig 226 Blackwater Tactical vs. Sig 226 Combat TB

So the other day, I headed up to Sports World with the money for a brand new Sig 226 Combat TB... And in true EZ Bake fashion, I got distracted from my goal and ended up buying a Blackwater Tactical instead.

This is exactly why I don't own a Kimber Desert Warrior - I can't keep it together when presented with something equally as pretty


I think it came down to the fact that the two guns were pretty much of equal quality/featured, but one came with a threaded barrel and that cool FDE finish. The other came with the beaver tail, Magwell grips (and 4 20rd magazines), and that cool blackwater symbol.

Really, it was an issue of what I thought looked cooler - the coveted blackwater symbol on the slide and grips, or the FDE finish.

I could have gotten some magwell grips and 20rd mags for the combat, and I can still get a threaded barrel for the Blackwater Tactical - but at this point, I find myself wanting both.

Be prepared for some guns to show up in the classifieds soon

My only gripe about it is that it doesn't say "BlackWater USA" on the side like the ones on Sig's site - I don't know why the "USA" was dropped.

EZ I know what you mean about impulses I had the cash for a nice desert warrior but ended up with my AICS rem 700.

Dude - I've almost gotten a Desert Warrior so many times now that its beginning to fall off of my wish list.

To be honest, I didn't get an AICS this last time because I got a nearly complete built rifle for my son, so its on that same list.

I try to keep it where if I sell a handgun, I get another handgun. If I sell a rifle, I get another rifle - and never shall the two moneys get confused.

But it doesn't always work out that way.
